Tideman Johnson Park gets some TLC every first Saturday of the month- and you’re invited to pitch in! Join Friends of Tideman Johnson Park, Portland Parks and Recreation, and Johnson Creek Watershed Council in restoring and maintaining this picturesque stretch of Johnson Creek that flows through inner SE Portland. RSVP today, so we know we’ll have enough coffee and snacks for ya!
WHAT: Restoration activities include planting native species, removing debris and invasives, plant care like daylighting or mulching, and more! Activities vary from month to month, and training is always provided.
WHEN: First event of 2019 is Saturday, February 2nd, 9am-12:00pm
WHERE: Tideman Johnson Park. Closest address is 4401 SE Johnson Creek Blvd, Portland, OR 97222
GETTING THERE: Park on the street at SE 37th & Tenino. The park entrance is marked with large wooden sign. Walk downhill on the paved path and meet the team at the boardwalk. You can also park a car at the public lot near the SE 45th Ave (be sure not to park in the business lot, though!). Springwater Corridor Trailhead. Walk/bike the the trail west from this lot, stay left, and you will eventually meet the team at the boardwalk. Please do not use the business lot!

HOW TO PREPARE:
Everyone is welcome-if you are under 18 and are planning to attend without a parent or guardian, your parent will need to sign a waiver to bring with you. Contact [email protected] for waiver.
We will provide snacks, tools, and training! Please dress for the weather, wear comfortable closed-toed shoes, and bring a water bottle. RSVP HERE
