What better way to kick off your weekend? This tree care event is in partnership with Portland Parks and Recreation, Bureau of Environmental Services, Metro, Friends of Errol Heights, and The Johnson Creek Watershed Council!
The project of the day is plant care: watering, mulching and/or weeding the planting area. This area is unpredictably wet, due to beaver activity. Please wear rubber boots and/or shoes you don’t mind getting wet and muddy.
When: Fri, June 23, 9am – 12pm
Where: 4543 SE Harney Dr, Portland, OR 97206, USA ()
Description: Join us as at Errol Heights as we water, mulch, and do other ‘tree care’ activities to help hundreds of native trees and shrubs planted this last winter thrive during the upcoming dry months ahead! Our Tree Care events help to ensure the highest level of plant survival through our dry summer months.
Please arrive around 8:45am to be registered and assigned to a crew. The tree care event will start promptly at 9:00am. We provide breakfast snacks and hot chocolate/tea/coffee, as well as gloves, tools, and guidance. Please come dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy, closed-toe shoes (for your safety, no sandals of any kind, please!), and get ready to have fun!
