WHAT: Come join us for a winter planting and restoration event with the Friends of Errol Heights. We will be planting 100 native shrubs, removing invasive species and improving the habitat of this special cold water springs and wetland. Take a walk after the event and check out the cool beaver dams, wetlands, and wildlife.
Volunteers should come dressed for the weather and wearing sturdy, closed-toe shoes and get ready to have fun! We will provide hot drinks, gloves, tools, and guidance.
Before the event, come take a bird walk with naturalist and bird enthusiast Mark Fitzsimons and birding instructor for Audubon Society of Portland Laura Whittemore, then help make Errol heights a better habitat for wildlife!
