Family and Teacher Resources for Students

Lent K-8 School at Leach Botanical Garden

We are all stuck at home trying to entertain ourselves during this current health crisis and for some parents/teachers, they are tasked with engaging large amounts of young students while trying to stay sane.

Below is a list of environmental education and COVID-19 resources that the Johnson Creek Watershed Council has put together to better ease your search.

Johnson Creek Watershed Council Resources:

Educational Youtube videos

These are instructional videos based on the field trips that we conduct at the council. So far we have one on water quality testing and beaver surveys. A video on macroinvertebrate surveys is in the works. Watch our channel for updates!

FB Live Videos

JCWC has been posting live videos on facebook very frequently! On April 2nd we did a tour of Foster Flood plains, April 9th we did water quality testing at Johnson Creek Park, and much more. Check out our page!

JCWC Articles

We have a lot of articles we post through our E-bulletin! Such as Whats that Weed , Social distancing for trees, and how to make social distancing a little better.
