Groundwork Portland is looking for interns and volunteers! Groundwork Portland is a non-profit organization that brings about sustainable, community-led improvement of the physical environment in low-income areas, while promoting environmental and social justice. Their project areas include reusing brownfields, training youth for green jobs, and restoring urban water and soil.
They are looking for interns and volunteers with solid experience working with diverse communities. Internships are currently available in many areas, including social media and communications, Emerson Street Garden, Environmental Justice Research and Engagement, and program support.
They also welcome volunteers. Volunteering can be a one time event, once a month, or on-going support.
