5th Annual Silent Auction a Smashing Success
On the banks of Johnson Creek, Silent Auction guests bid the night away, raising funds for the Council's education, restoration and outreach programs. Over 100 guests enjoyed the bluegrass music of Ida Viper, delicious food by Vibrant Table Catering, and Bakery Bar's delectable desserts. Guests mingled around Silent Auction tables bidding on overnight packages to the coast, Mount Hood and downtown Portland, tickets to sporting and theater events, cruises along the Columbia and Lake Oswego, and many other exciting items. The Wine Mystery lured guests with the opportunity to win a unique bottle of wine.
By the end of the night, we raised over $7,400 for the Council's programs! We would like to sincerely thank our guests and donors, and our event sponsors - CH2M Hill, David Evans and Associates, GreenWorks, PC, and Gresham Sanitary Service - who made the event such a success. We also thank the volunteers Lee Dayfield, Julia DeGagne, Melanie McCandless, Dana Murray, Perry Rikli, and Kelley Schneider - whose hard work we greatly appreciate. And a special thank you to our Board of Directors, particularly to Silent Auction Committee members JoAnn Herrigel and Walt Mintkeski, for their leadership.
