DESCRIPTION:Did you know?! The geology of the Portland Basin cradles Johnson Creek — from headwaters in our youngest geologic deposits\, westward through the oldest rocks in the metro area — and shapes the watershed’s hydrology.  \nGrab a pint at Double Mountain Brewery and dive into the Geology of the Portland Basin and Johnson Creek Watershed with Paul Edison-Lahm\, Communications Director for the Geological Society of the Oregon Country. Paul and his wife Peregrine have been JCWC volunteers since 2010 and live in the watershed just blocks from the JCWC offices. \nThis event is free to attend\, but please be prepared to purchase a drink and/or food to support Double Mountain Brewing. Thank you DMB for hosting us!! \n  \nEvent is full. Registration is required. Please do not attend if you have not registered.\n  \nWhat: Geology of Johnson Creek Pub Talk  \nWhen: Tuesday\, April 25th\, 5:30pm-7:30pm. The talk will take place from 6pm-7pm\, but we recommend arriving early to grab a spot to sit and order food and drinks! \nWhere: Double Mountain Brewing\, 4336 SE Woodstock Blvd\, Portland\, OR 97206. \nWhat to bring: Yourself! And some money to spend on yummy food and drinks! \nWhat we provide: We can provide bus fare to and from the event. Please contact info@jcwc.org to arrange bus fare. \nChildren are welcome but must be accompanied by an attentive adult. This is an all ages event! \nHealth and Safety: We will follow current Oregon Health Authority guidelines. Masks are not required\, but encouraged in indoor spaces where social distancing is not possible. Stay home if you are experiencing symptoms of any contagious illness or have had recent contact with someone exhibiting symptoms of any illness. \nAccessibility: This event may require sitting or standing for long periods of time. Bathrooms will be available at this event.  \n  \nDirections to site: \nBy Car: 4336 SE Woodstock Blvd\, Portland\, OR 97206.
