DESCRIPTION:The Johnson Creek watershed benefits from the wetlands that beavers create. These ecosystem engineers create habitats for instream and upland species while slowing down the creek\, cooling it\, and lowering fire risk. Join us for a slice and find out more about the amazing beaver from Katie Holzer\, Watershed Scientist with the City of Gresham! \nThis event is free to attend\, but please be prepared to purchase a drink and/or food to support Wall Street Pizza. Thank you Wall Street Pizza for hosting us! \nSpots are limited! RSVP is required! \nClick here to RSVP  \nWhat: Beaver Science Talk \nWhen: Thursday\, February 19th\, 5:30pm-7:30pm. The talk will take place from 6pm-7pm\, but we recommend arriving early to grab a spot to sit and order food and drinks!  \nWhere: Gresham Wall Street Pizza\, 201 N Main Ave\, Gresham\, OR 97030.  \nWhat to bring: Yourself! And some money to spend on yummy food and drinks!  \nWhat we provide: We can provide bus fare to and from the event. This is an all ages event!  \nHealth and Safety: We will follow current Oregon Health Authority guidelines.
