Science in the Park

Join us on Sunday September, 18th for some MAD fun at Mill Park! We’re partnering with Mad Science to bring you a FREE science extravaganza that is sure to delight the whole family. Learn about the wonders of water in an educational, entertaining, and (most importantly) FUN show put on by genuine Mad Scientists, who never fail to amaze, awe, and astound. Our annual Science in the Park is always  popular for a good reason: this is one unforgettable experience you and your kids won’t want to miss. See you there!

 

Please REGISTER HERE so we know how many people to expect. Each person coming with you (including youth) should register separately.

 

When: Sunday, September 18th, 1pm –  3pm

 

Where: Mill Park, 6201 SE Overland St, Milwuakie, OR 97222 (directions below)

 

What to do & bring: This event will happen rain or shine, so dress for the weather! Bring water, snacks, and a blanket to spread out on the grass or folding chairs, if you want.

 

Accessibility: This event is not ADA accessible. There will be a port-a-potty on site. No running water. Seating is not provided please bring a blanket to sit on the grass or a folding chair.

 

Directions: There is more than one Mill Park in the Portland area, so make sure you’re coming to the right one! Closest street address: 6201 SE Overland St, Milwaukie, OR 97222

 

By transit: Take the MAX Orange Line to SE Tacoma/Johnson Creek, then transfer to Bus #34 (Clackamas Town Center). Get off at the 9700 Block of SE Linwood and walk 2 blocks north on SE Linwood Ave, then turn east on SE Overland St to reach the park.

 

By bike: Take the Springwater Corridor Trail to SE Linwood Ave. Turn south onto SE Linwood Ave, then east onto SE Overland St to reach the park.

 

By car: From north of Johnson Creek, take SE Johnson Creek Blvd to SE Linwood Ave/SE Flavel Dr. Turn south onto SE Linwood Ave, then east onto SE Overland St to reach the park. From south of Johnson Creek, take SE King Road and turn north on SE Linwood Ave. After half a mile, turn east onto SE Overland St to reach the park.
