Sue

Date of volunteer work: 07/22/2018.
Site Name: Johnson Creek Park (west side).
Number of hours worked: 1.5.
Field notes:

I walked up to the Springwater to look out over the big open field of Johnson Creek Park on the east side. Vegetation is still going strong and visibility is limited (I used to be able to observe camps from up there). I headed back to the west side where many families were either having an organized game of children’s soccer, or scattered here and there by the creek enjoying the water, wildlife (ducks) and sunshine before the heat kicks in. I headed towards S.E. Sherrett and 23rd to look down into the creek and noticed purple loosestrife seemingly growing directly out of two different large rock formations (photo). I went back through the park and in the short time I’d walked away, a cart full of belongs was left by a picnic table. I’m pretty sure I spotted the owner on the peninsula area just standing there. No idea what he was doing. Since I was in the area, I went to the Brannen Property even though I’d just been there last week. Articles of clothing were draped across the fence along with a few other items tossed on the other side of it plus a bamboo mat. I removed these items.
