Field notes:
I entered the park from the main parking area off 162nd, walked up to the meadow area on top and part way down the Hawthorn trail. Saw lots of butterflies but could not ID any except the common ringlet I got a photo of. Grasses are all very tall and lots of Oxeye daisy in bloom. Saw a couple Lazuli Buntings, Cedar Waxwings, Swallows, and Song Sparrows. The birders mentioned that they also saw a Kestrel. Plant images loaded into inaturalist.
