Farewell, Drew!

Drew Donahue was our AmeriCorps member and served as Outreach and Riparian Specialist from September 2019 to July 2020. Thank you Drew for all you brought to the Council! Covid may have set us back from all the plans we made in the beginning of the year but you took charge and led us to the NEXT LEVEL with the INCREDIBLE updates to lesson plan documentation, video curricula, and have helped us grow relationships that we have with BIPOC-led groups in ways that connect and amplify our shared dreams.

Drew shines like a bright star, with

creativity (inventing a plant trivia night which was a hit and people are begging for more of next year),

adaptability (in the face of COVID-so many ways–including bringing in other AmeriCorps to ensure the success of a 10 year garlic mustard removal project when we lost our field crew)

technical skill (so many ways, including applying herself in a GIS course with a fabulous analysis of the garlic mustard removal impacts over the last 10 years), and is a

true leader (in front of a classroom or a group of volunteers).

WE LOVE YOU DREW AND WE ARE GOING TO MISS YOU SO MUCH!!! CONGRATS ON YOUR NEW POSITION AT CLACKAMAS SWCD!!! <3 <3 <3
