Field notes:
*First, I listed September as the month in my two previous posts. It was August.* On my way to the boardwalk area, a little black cat was soaking up the sun at the base of the utility structure where just a short while ago, workers had cleared brush. I walked through that area, then headed to the upper bridge. Looking downstream, I could see the purple loosestrife I tried (and failed) to remove a couple of years ago is thriving. Looking upstream, I could see two more purple loosestrife on the opposite side of the creek.
